So we can debate about this later but oatmeal raisin cookies are the best (**Yes, even over chocolate chip). Even though this is a polarizing topic I believe in the mantra, "be you, do you, for you" especially when it comes to cookies.
So here is how I will do recipes on my site; no videos, pics and endless blah, blah blah to go through, just one epic recipe given to you!
Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup instant oats
2 eggs
2 tbsp butter
1.5 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt * I like a little salty kick to my baking!
1/2 cup honey *I like the Farm Boy brand for baking
The batter should be moist so the cookies come out soft. If you like a little more 'edge' to your cookie bake a couple minutes longer.
NOTE: my nickname among my team is the 'freestyle baker', hence the additions below. Also note that I just mix everything together in one bowl so use those arm muscles and mix it very well for the best results!
Additions *measured to taste:
My Fav: raisins and cinnamon
Coach Taylor's Fav: dried cherries and shredded coconut
Other options can include: chocolate chips, nuts and seeds and quite frankly anything you really like!
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes using parchment paper on a cookie sheet
